Peter Nwagbogu brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Public Sector Advisory, Program Management, Research, and Development to the Board of Directors of our esteemed organization. Currently serving as a member of the Advisory Board of Mental Health with Ditty Foundation, Secretary – Sydani Advisory Board, and the Group Technical Advisor at Sydani Group, Peter has demonstrated his commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and international development.

As a consultant providing technical services to the Presidential National Action Committee for the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement, Peter has played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s approach to international trade. He not only contributed to the development of Nigeria’s National Strategy for AfCFTA Implementation but also leads the Market Intelligence Unit of the Export Market Development Division.

Peter’s achievements extend to his public sector roles, notably as the leader of the Abia Economic Advancement Team (ABEAT) in the Government of Abia State (2018 – 2020). Under his leadership, the state’s Internal Revenue Service witnessed significant growth, and he played a key role in the digitization of land regulatory processes, aligning with global standards, and implementing many other impactful interventions.

With a robust background in management consulting, including his tenure at the Anambra Economic Think Tank (ANETT) in the office of the Government of Anambra State, and at the then foremost investment bank – BGL Plc., Peter has a keen understanding of the financial sector. He served as the Secretary of the BGL Group Corporate Strategy Team at a very young age, showcasing his leadership capabilities.

Peter’s contributions aren’t confined to the professional realm; he actively engages in volunteer and pro bono activities, displaying a commitment to community service. His involvement in various capacities, such as serving as the Pioneer Business Secretary of the King’s College Old Boys’ Association, Fundraiser for British Council’s Lagos Theatre Festival (2019 – 2021), and coordinating the 1st to 4th Beeta Playwright Competition, as well as the 1st Beeta Arts Festival, underscores his dedication beyond the boardroom.

A trained accountant with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Madonna University and a Diploma in Law from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Peter continually enhances his skills. His pursuit of knowledge is evident through various certifications, including courses on AfCFTA, Business Analysis, Corporate Communications, Brand Management, and Public Health Systems strengthening.
